Ivf shots.

Is there anyone here who is or has gone through IVF who was afraid of shots prior to starting the process? How do you ladies get through it and is it unbearable each day? Any words of advice?

I have done 5 fresh cycles....

I do all my shots myself...I find it much easier (painless) when you do it yourself....

I have done 3 shots at once (Follistim, Menopur and either Lupron or Ganirelix)...all very easy and piece of cake...It literally takes about 5 seconds to administrate each one...you are done within 2min with all (after you mix everything)...not a big deal..

The only PITA (literally lol) is the PIO shot but after you master the technique even that one is easy (trick is to sit on a closed toilet) with the "fat" on your "cheeks" out....you will not feel a thing, just a little pinch while the needle goes in...trust me, remember that, best advice ever...if you do it this way, no need to ice it....

I was the biggst wimp ever when it came to any type of needles..But honestly when it came down to doing the IVF shots it wasnt bad AT ALL.

I did them all myself and would just pinch some fat in my stomach and do it pretty quickly.

I promise you its not bad and it made me prepared for all the bloodwork I was going to have to do during my IVF cycle...now Im a pro and just stick my arm out and dont even think about it anymore!
