Lake Compounce in CT?
Has anyone ever been there with kids? I see they are owned by the same company as Dutch Wonderland, so I'm wondering if it's just as clean and nice.

Re: Lake Compounce in CT?
My co-worker goes there every year. I think it's for older kids. The website is pretty detailed for how tall you have to be for the rides.
My co-worker loves going. His kids are 7 and 9

Re: Lake Compounce in CT?
Brought my DD there when she was 5 (just turned 7 today). There were decent amount of rides for her and the water area for kids were great but gets pretty crowded. I found it clean... You can get discounted tix (think its $27) @ Costco in Waterbury, store is along I-84 easy on/off from the highway.

Re: Lake Compounce in CT?
We actually live in the same city as Lake Compounce and have brought our 2yo DD there a few times. We got season passes and have gone maybe three times so far. It does get very busy but if you go in the afternoon it's not terrible. I think that it is very clean and good for all ages. I love that there is unlimited soda/water. The water park is just big enough to have plenty of things to do without being overwhelming.

Re: Lake Compounce in CT?
I live pretty close to Lake Compounce too. I have always said it's a (much) bigger version of Adventureland in Farmingville, and with water rides. They have a section for little kids, but then they have 2 big roller coasters. There is a whole section of a playset where the kids can climb and explore, but with water. And there are water slides for older kids/adults. And then there are "carnival" games.
I would say it's good for everyone. We go at least once a year.
They also have a crazy haunted walk around Halloween. It makes grown adult women scream like a little kid. I have seen it.
