Anyone get an Open Market Transfer yet?
I had a ton of open market interviews that ended well...just haven't received any official offers.
Just wondering if anyone else has had success?
I know they were waiting on budgets, which I think were handed out yesterday. So maybe the calls will start sooner than later.

Nope and not even an interview. I am elem ed, with 11 years in the system. I've been applying for a few years on open market and NOBODY calls!

ME!!!!!!!  I just got the call today that I got the job!!!!!
I interviewed and did a demo a few weeks ago. They were waiting for their budget to come in (which it did yesterday) before they officially offered me the job.
Ironically enough I just got another email for an interview today.
I am so excited  I tried to transfer last year but my principal refused to release me because it was the day after open market closed. He can't stop me now
I bet most schools were waiting for their budgets to come through before they started interviewing/hiring.

So how does it work? If you offer someone a job, do you call them? Then if they accept you do something in the system that transfers them?

Nope it is in Queens....It takes 2.5 hours off my commute  I am so excited I don't know what to do with myself!!!!!

Would you mind telling me what you mean by a great commute? I live in Eastern LI and looking for jobs in Queens as I've been excessed (I was in Jackson Heights) and know that district 25 (Flushing) and 26 (Bayside area) are the closest. District 27 isn't bad either? I'd love to know more and can you recommend any particular elem schools, thanks?

D27 is close to Long Beach, Oceanside etc.
