Could really use some help :(
Probably not many of you remember me. I have not been on since I had my 4th. I had 4 children in 4 1/2 years. 3 boys & the last was a girl
Any way - if anyone has any advice for me I would appreciate it. My daughter (18 months) has such pretty hair. Unfortunately when she is tired she pulls out strands of her (she wants to rub it) while sucking her thumb. She only does this one one side (th thumb she sucks) Has any one had this happen? The Dr. said it's pretty commom & she'll grow out of it. She is just soothing herself.
Any suggestions would help!
Thank you!

I don't have any personal experience, but have you tried other soothers? Like one of those small silky/furry blankets? Or maybe a soft stuffed animal. Something that might keep her hands busy. GL!

I'm pretty sure there is someone on here who went through this with her daughter, but I can't remember who. Hopefully someone will remember or they will post

No experience, but would putting it up help? Maybe she won't be able to grab and pull it if it is in a pony?

Re: Could really use some help :(
when I worked in daycare I cared for a 2 year old who did it, mostly when she was very over tierd. Her parents finally got her to love a blanket that she eventually started pulling at instead of her hair. Maybe try to offer her something like a blankie or stuffed animal. I know this might sound strange but I remember her mom saying that she slept with it a few nights before she gave it to her dd this way it would smell like mommy.
