Best Car Seat for a toddler
DS1 is 27 months and he is not comfortable in his carseat. He has been forward facing for a while now and when he falls asleep his neck is all slumped down and so uncomfortable looking. We make a few long tips a year and so i'm looking to get him a new seat. Also DS2 is out growing his so might as well get 2 lol

i have the evenflo symphony 65. but i think you'll have that problem with a lot of seats. you should get a toddler car seat pillow. i have something like this for DS:

We have this too and like it. DS loves the cup holder and "secret compartments" for his stuff.
But honestly I think most car seats your DC's head is going to fall forward. DS is 3.5 and his head does this too. The only difference is now at his age he will pick his head up and readjust he doesnt just let is droop while he is sleeping. Its more uncomfortable for us to look at than it is on thme

We have the Nautilus also - but like the PP said, its not the seats, its just the nature of falling asleep completely upright.

Re: Best Car Seat for a toddler
Nautilus is actually well known for head slump in sleepers. It sits very upright, which in most kids isn't an issue, but many kids are car sleepers and it bothers.
Look into the Britax Frontier if you want a combination seat. Less issues with head slump.

I still don't understand why they don't make a seat with a decent recline for toddlers...It can't be comfortable or safe for them to sleep like that for long periods.. I have the True Fit seat and DS's head is slumped over when he sleeps.. He wakes up screaming sometimes. I guess he has a crick in his neck from it..

Re: Best Car Seat for a toddler
Thanks ladies! I've been researching between the Gracco Nautilus and Britex Frontier 85 for the past few days.....I'm leaning towards the Nautilus mainly for the 3 position recline.... but I am going to take DS1 to test both of them out in the store b4 we buy

The 3 position recline is bogus... I have the seat and the recline goes from completely upright to almost completely upright!!!
