Danielle Steel
I've heard a lot of people talk about her writing, but I never really knew anything about her. I picked up a few of her books and I started reading "Miracle." I'm really hating it. I'm finding it boring and the writing to be...well, not terribly intriguing.
Has anyone read her books? Do they tend to get better as they go on? I'm debating whether I want to pick this one up again.

Re: Danielle Steel
I never thought much of her style. She really only became famous because Princess Diana mentioned her in an interview years ago.
My Grandma used to read them, though.
If you want romance I always liked Judith Kranz.

Re: Danielle Steel
I loved The Wedding it was one of my favorites. There a few that are good but some are terrible.

Re: Danielle Steel
I find her stories kind of boring too-- I read "Sunset in St. Tropez" & wasn't impressed! I started "Miracle" & got bored & still haven't finished it. I did like "Big Girl" though... maybe it's hit or miss with her books... I have to read a few more to decide for sure.

Re: Danielle Steel
I've read a bunch, and each time I read one I question why I'm reading it
The best way I can describe her is "cookie cutter"..there is never any variance, and she write about the same thing over and over and over again, and it's not well written..

Re: Danielle Steel
Danielle Steel novels were mindless, guilty pleasure beach reading for me when I was in my twenties. I haven't read one in years, but I used to go through one every couple of days.

Re: Danielle Steel
I've read her... I found that some of her oldest books were decent...
Then for a time her books just became boring and repetitive and I've stopped reading her.

Re: Danielle Steel
Her older books were much better.
No Greater Love Palomino Heartbeat Star Changes
I used to read them when I was in college.
Her newer stuff is eh.... I thought Sisters was ok and HRH but that was really it.
