Frozen Peas

when my bro was having surgery 2 weeks ago, we watched my niece Lyla and our Emma. at one point - Rachel (sil) called and said that Lyla would eat frozen peas, if the girls were warm/hot. i figured, let's give this a try, see if Emma likes them too....

em now requests peas....i think that she may feel that because they're frozen, they're a treat (like ices). she eats them by the bowlful and just now even requested them as a snack...(which triggered me wanting to share).

we have tried frozen mixed veggies too and she LOVES the green beans and even requests those specifically!

we tried them out at home, calling them 'lyla' peas, but now she just calls them peas and so far in the past 2 weeks, we've gone through 2 bags of them!!

just a real simple summer snack if ya ask me :)

Just watch out that they aren't too frozen. You can chip and break teeth!

Re: Frozen Peas

I've been trying everything in the freezer... I even had the suggestion to freeze a banana peeled on a stick, and it's sorta like an ice pop... DS loves it. Me, I think I'll pass HAHA.
I'll have to try the peas tho... he may goggle them up nice and quick too

seriously - the THOUGHT of it grosses me & dave out - but who are we to judge? she loves them - so it makes me happy :)

she's also only 2 - so she still 'trusts' us, if we give her something, she'll at least try it...

Re: Frozen Peas

I don't understand how this is safe? Can't they hurt their teeth or choke on them? I mean can you even chew frozen peas?

Wow, I would never have thought of that! Maybe I'll give it a shot with the older girls. As for choking...I think they're so tiny. My girls could inhale an entire munchkin and survive!

I'm surprised it doesn't give them a tummy ache, they're not cooked...
