Little Miabelle... not such a good update... can you spare some prayers...
If any of you have been following Miabelle's story, as of last week, they had all indications that her bone marrow transplant was taking.
They did a test to see how many of her cells were old vs. how many were new. The first results showed that 56% of her cells were new and 44% were old. Not as good as they wanted, but it was OK. They retested her blood and now it is showing 35% new cells and 65% old. 
So they aren't sure if the bone marrow transplant will take. And because she got the new cells from cord blood, there is no more left to give her to boost the transplant.
Please send some prayers to this little fighter. I am just heartbroken about this latest update. I can only imagine how scared her parents are. She's been fighting so hard and has been showing signs of feeling better, I can't imagine her parents having to see her regress.
So let's pray that this is a temporary setback and she rebounds. Go new cells, go!

I know. After following this little girl's story for so long now, I'm expecting a happy ending. Seeing her little smiiling face on the blog just makes it all the more unfair. Just trying to pray extra hard that she turns around!

They just posted a new update, not sure if you saw it. While her new cells have not increased, they have also not decreased from the last test they did last week.
So she is stable right now. They are doing another test today, with results tomorrow that will really indicate whether or not this bone marrow transplant might take.
Many, many more prayers. I just can't imagine being so helpless when your little 1 year old is fighting for their life. I look at my DD who is just a few months older than Miabelle and I want to cry for her.

I made a comment on one of the updates that ignorance is bliss. She has no idea what is going on inside her body. It is so much harder on her parents who know this is a life or death fight. Oh to be so young and innocent as to not understand things like this. She just goes about her day laughing and playing. She can teach us all great lessons!
