Outward Bound--wow!
Very positive experience. It's definitely not for every kid but it was a perfect match for Kahuna Jr. He was already had a pretty good head on his shoulders and independent but now he seems to have gained some inner confidence and skills that have us marveling at the young man we got back. I've got to say it surpassed all my expectations.
We will definitely send him again.

What is it? A camp? Do you have the site?

my dh has such OB envy-guys would come back after summer break and share their adventures....
i swear that is the main reason dh only wanted 2 kids-to be able to afford to send them to OB each year.
God help me if the kids don't enjoy it

My friend just sent her son to it, and she said it was an awesome experience for him, and for their communication after the fact.

Yes, in a sense. They have a bunch of different programs all over the country, with different focuses/experiences. Kahuna Jr. did a boys only rip for his age group. They have programs for parents and kids too!
