Would you go to a wedding...

That is 3 hours away at 36 weeks pregnant? DH is in the bridal party so we have to stay Fri-Sun.

Re: Would you go to a wedding...

I would probably go. We're going up to the Berkshires (~3.5 hrs away) at 35 weeks. I plan on taking it easy, staying hydrated and learning area hospital #'s lol (j/k...)

I think I would. I would just look into the nearest hospital during my stay.

Re: Would you go to a wedding...

if it's a close friend then i probably would. I'm actually planning on traveling to a good friends wedding in Maine at about 35 weeks and that's 6 hours away! I was asked to be in the bridal party too, but turned it down figuring it would be too much for me at that point!

Re: Would you go to a wedding...

Me, personally, no, but I delivered at 36w2d with DD, and have yet again a high risk pg. If I was healthy and had no issues, and the local hospitals were recommended and good yes, I would go! It's a personal decision and you have to know your limits and how you feel. I will say that my OB doesn't suggest going further then 1hr away once 36wks, but that's more of a saftey precaution.

Re: Would you go to a wedding...

Nope...I wouldn't it is all weekend and very far. It is not worth it...worst case scenario would you b ok delivering in a hosiptal out of town by a doc u do not know? Just does not seem worth it. If anything bc DH is BP, would u b ok with just him going?

Ask your OB. With DS, mine said NO to more than 1 hour away from the hospital starting 36 weeks.... with a perfectly normal pregnancy. I delivered at 39.

I wouldn't....there's nothing like being in your own home and that far along, I wouldn't feel comfortable.

I would ask my Dr, but probably not.

I'm not going to NC at 33 weeks for our nephew's christening.

Re: Would you go to a wedding...

I am going away (~2.5-3 hours) at 37 wks. But, if you don't want to go, this is probably the best excuse!

Re: Would you go to a wedding...

I asked my OB how late I can travel to MD, where my family is, and he said up to my due date. He was half kidding, but he said your first labor is usually longer, so if you left if you weren't feeling right, you'd have more than enough time to get back. Again, obviously that is not my plan, but just his perspective.

Crashing, but as a BTDT, no I would not.

I had DS at 32 weeks with no prior warning. I was told to come in for monitoring and had an emergency c/s within 24 hours. Anything can happen and I would not want to spend 3 days that far away.
