No preference but I REFUSE to go to the ones that charge a different price for cash and credit. I know they have to pay a cc processing fee but come on, your not making enough money off me already. Today mostly everyone has credit cards and accepting them is just the cost of doing business today, no need to penalize me for it. I will go to the same price cash or credit even if they are a few cents more than the credit price at a station that charges a different price.
From a Devil's Advocate side, that means that "same price cash or credit" is penalizing the cash customers, since everyone gets charged the higher price....

I usually just go for the cheapest. I will, though, bypass the ones that have the truck there making the delivery at that moment. My dad has ingrained in me his theory that when they fill up, they're stirring up all the crap that settles to the bottom, and it'll get in your car.

I usually go to Hess, because its down the block from me and we have a gas card. If I'm out and about, I prefer BP, since DHs rig is contracted with them.
As a previous poster said, never go to a station that is having a fuel delivery made. On hot days, try to fill up your tank in the morning and not in the afternoon during the hottest part of the day.

I'm still angry at BP about their handling of the spill last year so I REFUSE to use their fuel.
And I am angry at Exxon-Mobil for their giant profits so I try to only use Hess (although I'm sure they also make huge profits).

I was raised steps from the NJ border so have never had to pump my own gas.
Therefore, I also am a brat and go to the place that does it for me.
Fortunately, there is one right down the block from my house and it costs basically the same as anywhere else so I lucked out x 2.

UTTER BS.
I don't get charged more to use my Credit card at Macy's, the diner, the supermarket.
It's such an EFFING SCAM!!!
ITA with both of these. I'm so annoyed too because my regular gas station JUST started doing this. But they charge you the cash amount if you use a debit. I don't understand how to guess how much gas I need in my car?!?!?! I like to fill mine because I despise getting gas and the cash thing makes it impossible!
