Silly ques...diff between inservice and grad class?

Is the difference that for a grad class you are going toward a degree? I notice inservice classes are way cheaper.

i know I took in service credits for my +30 and they did NOT count. They needed to be graduate courses, so I had to switch them over (more money and like 2 more papers to do for each course) This was for NYC DOE though...

I think it depends on your district. For us, grad classes and in-service are the same.

Every district is different. My district 6 of ur 15 have to be grad. No difference in the grad and inservice except price.

In my district you can get all of your credits post-masters with inservice credit. The risk with doing inservice credit is that if you ever switch districts your inservice credits might not be approved by another district. They are more likely to give you the credit for graduate courses from my what I understand.

But I did inservice all the way bc they were cheaper!
