I FINALLY got on the stairmaster!
So at my gym there is only one stairmaster. I've been going to the gym right after work (around 3:00). Every single day this same guy "reserves" the stairmaster with his ipod for about 15 minutes while gets dressed (yesterday it was additional 10 minutes as he chatted with a friend on the treadmill). Then he's on the stairmaster from anywhere from an hour to longer.
I never get on it. I've written in the gym suggestion box to have a time limit (or at least not allow people to reserve it! In that 15 minutes I could've gone it off while he changed then gave it back to him). Worst part is he doesnt even use it the right way (he's all hunched over).
I've been trying to get on it for 2 weeks now.
Today I got in before him and got on!! I laughed inside watching him on the treadmill.
I feel victorious! I've been waiting for a good stairmaster workout!

I totally know how you feel! I finally found the perfect treadmill. It's furthest away from the door and there is a cross breeze from the fan and the AC in the back of the gym. So treadmill #15 is the only one I will use now, and I go at noon because no one else works out then. I get so happy every time I see my treadmill free.

Good for you! Things like that really annoy me! It's like, I understand people have their routines but if your holding up someone for that long, it's not fair to the others that are paying members as well!

i guess for some gyms not many pple use the stairmaster that's why there are so little of them! The gym by my house has maybe 1 working and its facing a wall....like really close, strange. The gym by my job has about 5 or 6 but only 2 work perfect.
i love the stairmaster...i can be on for 30-40mins.

Well, you're a better person than I am because I would have just moved his ipod the first time I watched it sit for over 10 minutes.

i love the stairmaster...i can be on for 30-40mins.
At my old gym, the starimaster was the only machine I would use and there was also only one. . I basically just went for the spin classes. LOL

In all honesty, since this is his daily ritual, I probably would have walked up to the front desk and given it to them and said someone left it on a piece of equipment. Hopefully that doesn't make me a terrible person.
