oh my - WWYD -Sesame Place ...dirty ?

So we have a trip set for Sesame and are SOO excited, however my friend just came back from there, said it was dirty and his duaghter got ringworm from there, they are 99% positive it was from there.

Would you cancel your trip

We went in july. I thought it was very clean.

We went in June during the week. The Wed that was pretty empty the place was clean. On Thur the kiddie wave pool was kinda dirty and we did not stay in it- there was a gross buildup of schmutz around the edges. Other than the wave pool I did not observe a problem with cleanliness. We plan to return next year but perhaps even earlier like the end of May.

Did they go on a weekend?

I have noticed with a lot of reviews here and on FB, it is a totally different park on the weekdays versus the weekends. Weekends it seems like they can not keep up with the crowds.

we have always gone during the week, and irs never ever been dirty...and I get very grossed out by dirty...like someone said though, maybe it is different on weekends??

We just went two weeks ago, on a Friday, and the park was very clean. Water in the lazy river and the sprinkler parks was also very clean. We had a great time!

I think the place is very clean, and I am a germaphobe. However, that being said, of course children can g et ringworm, cocksackie, strep, pink eye, and all if those fun things froim ANY place where lots of kiddies are. It's bound to happen....my son got cockasckie and pink eye from Gymboree, and it's VERY clean there. Nothing I can do about it, except be more diligent about him washing hands and not putting things in his mouth.

I feel most kid places are dirty. That being said, we went when it opened at the park seemed pretty clean. I didn't trust the pool water but it is what it is. I don't trust any kiddie pool. DS spent most of his time in the waterworks area so it was spray water.

We went on a weekday at the end of July and the park was very clean. I think kids can pick those bugs up anywhere.

we've been 4 times this year, and are going back next week - we've never had an issue with cleanliness

i went for the first time on the tuesday after memorial day. it was later in the afternoon and not crowded, very clean. the kiddie pool area was clean too.

maybe the weekends are different? Our friends from LI have gone plenty of times during the week and never had a complaint, so it maybe that they cant keep up with the weekend insanity.
