full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? what time do you live your kids at school/early care? what time do you get home? What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it?

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? 5:00, wake DS by 6:30 if he isn't already up, so we can be out the door by 7
what time do you live your kids at school/early care? DH drops him off at 8:00
what time do you get home? I pick him up at about 5:30 (so we're back on the road at like 5:45ish) and we're home by about 7
What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? Get a morning schedule. I take a shower while DH preps bottles. After I get dressed, I wake up DS and change/feed him while DH gets ready for work. Even on days we oversleep we can get out on time or close to on time because we know our 'roles'.
do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? Heck yeah...I'm still trying to figure it out. I keep extra eye makeup and face cleaner wipes at work for the really rough days.

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? I get up around 6:45am...we are out the door at 7:30am.
what time do you live your kids at school/early care? We leave at 7:30am, get to my ILs around 8:10am, then usually get to work around 8:50am
what time do you get home? We generally leave work around 5:15/5:30pm, pick up the girls around 6:15pm and usually get home around 7pm
What suggestions or tips do youhave for a mom who is looking to return to work? I do as much as I can at night. I pack what we need for the next day, tidy up, take a shower, get clothes ready.
do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? I would LOVE to be home with my kids, but it's just not an option for us. Financially both of us have to work. My ILs watch both my girls and I love that they get to spend the whole day with their grandparents. I try to make the time I spend with them quality time. On the weekends I pretty much take them everywhere, just to spend time with them.

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? I get up at 6:30, DH gets up at 7 and we wake DD up at 7:15ish.
what time do you live your kids at school/early care? I leave for work by 7:30 so I can get in by 8. DH leaves the house at 7:50 to get DD to daycare at 8, he starts work at 8:30.
what time do you get home? I pick DD up at 5:40 and we're home before 6, DH gets home a little after 6.
What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? Try to do as much as you can at night, getting the diaper bag ready, lunch made, outfits picked out, etc.
do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? DD didn't go to school until 20 months so by that time we knew she'd be ready for more interaction with other kids. It really helps that she LOVES it and adapted so well. We make the nights and weekends count and do a lot of fun stuff with her!

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? b/w 6:15-6:30 DH gets up about 6:45-7:00 but leaves 7-7:15
what time do you live your kids at school/early care? 8:00 lately, though I really need to get him there at least 5 minutes earlier to make it to work on time.
what time do you get home? 5:30ish (7:00 during busy season)
What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? Try to get everything you can ready the night before. After we put DS to bed, DH and I get his lunch made and decide what snacks we'll be sending him with. Get our lunch made so everything can get thrown into lunch bags in the AM
do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? YES, I do. Not much I can do about it so I just deal with it. I try to remember that he has fun there - in fact sometimes I think it's probably more fun for him there then at home with us. And, when I come to pick him up and he comes running towards me yelling "Momma!!! Momma!!!" - I know he's ok and still knows where home is.
Good luck - it is hard at times, but it gets easier (mostly )

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? 6:30
what time do you leave your kids at school/early care? Nanny comes at 7 so I can finish getting ready for work and leave by 7:45. On Fridays DH drops DS off at his parents' house by 7 and then he catches his train.
what time do you get home? 6:15
What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? Like the PPs said, get as much ready at night as possible to avoid the mad rush in the morning. This way I find I can spend a few minutes talking to/playing with DS before I have to leave, which is great.
do you feel guilty that your kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? Sometimes I do because I only get to spend 45 minutes with him in the evenings, but I am fortunate enough to have an amazing nanny 2x a week who absolutely adores DS (and vice versa) and he spends the other days with his grandparents. On the weekends I just try to spend as much time with him as I can, to make up for the week.

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? 5am or 6am, depending on whether I go to the gym that day. Pump when I wake up, get dressed, make the baby's fruits and Veggies and then leave by either 610 or 715. what time do you live your kids at school/early care? Parents stay with us so thankfully I don't have to take him out of the house.
what time do you get home? I get home between 5:50 and 6:20, depending on traffic.
What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? If you set a realistic schedule and you are motivated everything can get done!!!!
do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? He spends time with grandma so it doesn't bother me too much. I just make sure my 3 hrs with him at night is pure Quality time. Also, I've signed him up to gymboree and swimming on the weekends so we have fun time every weekend lol. Makes me feel better :)
Good luck!!! Just think about how good we have it now at work...back in the day women had it SO much worse!!!!

how early do you wake up? around 5:30/5:45 and we are out the door by 6;45 what time do you live your kids at school/early care? 7:15 what time do you get home? depends on the day between 4 and 5 What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? I do a lot of things the night before (getting clothing ready, bags ready, lunches, breakfast) so I am not scrambling to do it in the morning. I also like a little lazy time in the morning..I can't just get up and go! do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? when u learn tell me. I don't feel guilty that he is in care because it has to be done and I don't have a choice; however, I feel guilty when I take me time on a weekend!

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
7:00am
I need to be at work by 9am....I leave my house at 7:45 and drive 30 to 1 hr (depending on traffic) to my parents twice a week to drop DD off, then I have a 15 min commute from there. I get to my parents house around 5:30pm...if DH is doing OT then I will stay at my parents until 7:30 so I avoid the rush hour traffic.
I always remember that there are billions of moms in my shoes. DH and I want the best for our DD and financially we have no other option. Some tips are to make easy meals, clean a little bit here and there so its not thrown on you on the weekends, spend as much time with your LO as you can. take videos on your phone so at work you can watch it and it will put a huge smile on your face.
I will be honest, 1st day and week was very hard. I was a mess and felt guilty; after the 1st week I was actually getting used to it and then I started to enjoy going to work. Just take it day by day and always remember you are not alone.

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? 5AM
what time do you live your kids at school/early care? I just turn the monitor on for my mom who lives downstairs. (yes, i am VERY lucky LOL)
what time do you get home? 3, or 4 with overtime
What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? The anticipation is worse than actually going back! It is hard but just remember WHY you are working and WHO you are working for! DC! Do EVERYTHING the night before. Lay clothes out, pack a lunch. Eat well, or you will feel like poo and it makes everything harder. Accept help if offered.
do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? I do but I remind myself that DD is learning so much from being with so many people every day (Nonno, Nonna and Daddy). She is loved and well taken care of and she KNOWS HER MOMMY. lol

Re: full time moms - what is your daily schedule like?
how early do you wake up? 4am nurse ds in bed and take a lil cat nap till 515 shower leave at 618am what time do you live your kids at school/early care? dh wakes up when I leave at 620 and nanny comes to our house when dh leaves at 730 what time do you get home? dh gets home at 515 I get home at 615
What suggestions or tips do you have for a mom who is looking to return to work? if you can afford it get a cleaning person the first few months i spent all weekend cleaning and realized that the 65 i pay every 2 weeks is worth my QUALITY TIME with my baby
have your nanny do the babys laundry and buy clothes that dont need to be dry cleaned
buy frozen meals (ww, lean cuisine, etc) for work so you dont eat junk bc you are exhausted/starving and then you dont have to prepare lunch for the next day and you can enjoy your baby , they go on sale for 1.98 at walmart/target all the time
do you feel guilty that you kid/s spend so much time in school/care? and how do you cope with it? i cry whine kick and scream but do it everyday bc I have no choice, thankfully this website and other ftwm help me through the day , each day is a struggle , but then you read about army parents that dont see their children for weeks, months, years and realize that those 2 hours at night weekends and vaca are your life
