Following Up After an Interview

Hi everyone..I had a very last minute interview yesterday. I e-mailed my resume at about 9:30, and at 10:15 I had a call from HR asking if I could make it over to the school on Thursday or yesterday, and it seemed like she wanted yesterday so I went in at 12. She remembered me from when I interviewed with her 1.5 years ago at my college. I met with the Princial/Interim Superintendent and an AP.

I absolutely LOVED the school 1.5 years ago and LOVED it yesterday. My interview was quick because they were on their lunch break from new teacher orientation, so it was hard to tell how it went but it seemed to go OK. I came home an e-mailed the two I met with and the HR woman an e-mail thanking them. (Their internet was down yesterday when I was there due to work being done, though)

They said HR had scheduled some interviews for the rest of this week, but would be moving extremely quickly with this. Is it acceptable to call and follow-up with this position, and if so, at what point can I do that? I hate living by my phone waiting :/

i think it's fine to call but not until monday since she told you they were interviewing the rest of this week. if you call this week then chances are they are just going to tell you they haven't made any decisions yet and are still interviewing anyway. if you haven't heard by like noon on monday i would call. good luck!!

Thanks for your help!I think I'll work up the courage to call today, as they said they hoped to have a decision this week.

I agree, I would wait until Monday. If you already followed up with an email, unfortunately waiting a bit is part of the game. Best of luck!!!
