Our first jellybean picture!
DH and I had our first ultrasound yesterday! It was so amazing to hear the heartbeat (tech said it was normal). You can't really see in this pic but we saw the little arm and leg buds on the screen and the heart.
The tech wouldn't say if everything was growing at the normal rate since the doc has to be the one to look at them so I'm still nervous but very relieved that there was a good heartbeat.

yes, except that I drank sooo much water to ensure that i had a full bladder and was about to burst. The technician took a look and said "WOAH! You weren't kidding, you poor girl."

You weren't told to go before the sono? I drank a ton of water before thinking it was better. Before I went in the room the nurse said shes going to need me to go "empty" . I had no clue what she was talking about until she led me to the bathroom!
Congrats its the best feeling in the world to hear that heartbeat!

They said my bladder had to be full for the first ultrasound (the one with the gel on your belly) and then she told me I had to be empty for the transvaginal one. That was the longest, best pee ever.

Aw, what a cute little bean!!  My ultrasound is Monday and I cant wait! Nurse told me to empty my bladder an hour before the ultrasound and then drink 1 quart of water until I have the ultrasound...I dont know how Im going to hold my pee for that long

I held it and went right before I went into the room for my ultrasound. We were able to get a great shot of the baby!
