Anyone else's pet go nuts during the storm?
My cat woke me up at 5 am meowing like crazy and making sounds I have never heard. Now he has diarrhea... Is it possibly related to stress?

Omg! The day before our dog just lost it. He emptied his whole bladder on our bed. We took him out, then he peed on the carpet.
He was not himself all day Friday and we we shocked.
At least I know it wasn't just our crazy a$$ dog.

My Murphy was restless all night. On the couch, off the couch, on the other couch where his sister was, off of the other couch. Panting and breathing fast all night, and still now. He didn't sleep a wink. And now I'm nervous over his fast and labored breathing.
My Madison on the other hand is cool as a cucumber. Lol

My dog and my cats were taking turns climbing all over me. Then my dog refused to go outside till I put him on a leash and walked outside with him in the pouring rain.
joys of owning a pet.

My dog was not happy, especially when we all had to cram in our laundry room during one of the tornado warnings. He didn't want to go out all morning I think because of the winds. I'll be happy tomorrow to wake to clear sunny skies.

Our cat kept attacking DH every time he fell asleep on the couch while watching the news. He kept threatening to throw him in the tub, which we had filled just in case we needed extra water!

our two were fine during the storm but one was whiney the night before.
To the OP, it does sound like stress.

Shamrock was barking all night Saturday and he threw up once. All day Saturday and Sunday he was very restless- barking at the middle of the room for no reason. He finally calmed down last night.

My dog always gets super upset and nervous during storms, construction, etc. It messes up his stomach for days. We gave him Benadryl to knock him out a little bit for this storm  (with the vet's approval of course!)

ETA: my cat is better now, so I do think it was stress induced.

Eta my dog is back to himself as well.
They KNOW something is coming. They can feel things change that we can't so get stressed with this weird change.
Like I said my dog squatted on the BED and peed his whole bladder. He has never done that.

They were definitely restless. We walked them much more than normal and they were still anxious. Sunday afternoon we had the windows open and our one dog barked at every sound he heard outside, which is not normal for him.
They're much better now. I know dogs feed off our emotions too, and I was more nervous than normal, so that doesn't help.
