Manhasset Day Care/Nannies
My husband and I moved to Manhasset about 2 months ago. We are expecting our first child at the end of November. I will have to go back to work after 12 weeks but am having difficulty finding a daycare that accepts babies at 3-4 months. Does anyone know of a daycare that accepts babies this young? Also, can anyone recommend a nanny that may be available to come to the house for a few months from about 6am-6pm if the daycare option does not work out? Thanks SO much!

Honestly, if you can afford it, I would do a nanny rather than daycare at such a young age.
You can ask around here, join a local internet parenting group (do a search on yahoo) or contact a local nanny agency.
Good luck!

Def Miss Debbies in plainview, but it's about 25 minutes from you. It's amazing, although I signed dd up when i was only 4 months pregnant! There is usually a long wait list. I much prefer daycare over a nanny. They do so much with them there. I didn't want her home raised by a nanny all day.

Love First Class, but I don't think they start that young, maybe at 18months, but check, things change.
Leeds Center on Community Drive takes babies, and so does Harbor Daycare. Good luck!

CLASP in Great Neck, but they have a long waiting list too.
We have a nanny (actually starting today!) who we found on Sittercity - hoping it works out.

My daughter goes to First Class and she started at 3 months. There was a lengthy waiting list though to get her in. She loves it there and so do I.

I REALLY appreciate all the feedback! I have appointments at Leeds, First Class and Harbor and feel a lot more confident we will find something. Thanks again!

Good to know people are using those websites. I wasn't sure about them, but sounds worth a shot!
