If you are looking in Suffolk County, there are two coming up in October.
In Islip Terrace on Saturday, October 8th:
The Dennis Cross 10th & Final 5K Eagle Run
In Islip on Sunday, October 30th:
The Halloween Seatuck Owl Prowl 5K

Shelter island is beautiful and has a 5k in sept.
Here's a calendar
There's also tunnel to towers at the end of sept
