Hick-ups everyday in a 12 day old?
DS had hick-ups all the time when I was pregnant and every since he was born not a day has gone by that he has not had them, sometimes a few times a day....is this ok??

It could be a sign of reflux. My DS had the hiccups always when I was pregnant a few times a day. Now he has reflux and gets them at least once a day. Dies your LO spit up alot?

My DD was the same way. It eventually stops. My DD is 5.5 months and I'd say maybe once a week she gets the hiccups.

My DD had the hiccups everyday when I was pregnant, and then when she was born she had them everyday, several times a day, usually after she ate up until about 2 months and then now gets them every now and then, but not everyday. I mentioned it to her ped at her first visit and he said that is absolutely ok.

Same with me. My DD had hiccups everyday (sometimes a few times a day) when she was very young (0-3 months) but as she got older, it got much better.

DD has them after every feeding! She does have reflux.
I give her gripe water if she seems bothered by them

My little guy got them about 3x a day when I was pregnant - and almost as many times a day now that he's in the real world!
I know they say it doesn't bother the baby, but I swear it does.
I bet it does have to do with acid reflux. I'm going to the doc today and asking again.
These aren't your regular little cute hiccups... they're body jolting to him! Gripe Water does get rid of them most of the time.

My lil girl used to get them a few times a day too! YES....her chest cavity will be jolting too! It does look so uncomfortable! I did bring this up to my ped NUMEROUS times, they just shrug it off and say that it's very normal that they have it. My DD also has acid reflux. She has them about once a day or once every other day now. She's 12 weeks today. It's really annoying around bed time because it would prevent her from falling asleep and it goes on for about 30 minutes! I have to look into gripe water.

My DD had them all the time when I was pregnant and still does at 11 weeks old. It doesn't seem to bother her at all. She does have reflux and is on meds for that. My ped said hiccups are very normal.
I have to say that Gripe Water works wonders for hiccups. I only give it to her though when she is trying to fall asleep and has the hiccups. Otherwise I just leave her be.

DD would get them all the time! a few times a day when she was just born...
even now at 3 months she still gets them pretty often and she does not have any issues like reflux

DS had them multiple times a day before he was born and still does after almost every feeding, He is 7weeks. Doesnt seem to bother him and they go away after just a few minutes.

dd gets hickups everyday, especially right before feeding or in between feeding. i just give her the formula and they go right away.
her pediatrician didnt seem concerned when i mentioned it.
