My DS will be 7 in December and I feel like I'm out of good/clean/age appropriate party places???
Does anyone have any suggestions for a boys 7th birthday party in Queens or Nassau???

Re: Birthday parties for a 7 year old???
DS is the same age & last year we had a good old fashioned party. I rented a room/hall since my 'apartment' wasnt big enough.
We did musical chairs, hung donuts from the ceiling on strings & they had to eat them with no hands, freeze dance, pinata, pin the tail on the donkey, pizza & cake. The kids had an awesome time and I recieved so many compliments from parents. Just an idea, this year will be bowling (mainly b/c my son wants a chance in teh ticket blaster !

Re: Birthday parties for a 7 year old???
Emily is going to be 6 this year and we are planning our first "at home" party. I feel like the guest list is getting bigger and bigger and doing a party at a place is getting hard to afford. So backyard party it is. We picked a theme (we are doing Halloween since she is an October b-day) and I found all kinds of fun games to play (like a Skeleton Scavenger Hunt) online. We'll do a pinata, decorate pumpkins and trick or treat bags, and it should be a lot of fun.
We rarely get invited to at home parties but I have to say that when we do, they are some of the best parties.

Bounce houses are very popular with 7yos. We went to several last year. DS had his 8th b-day party at a go-kart track. Another friend had a party at Boomers!, which is like an amusement park place. Also went to a laser tag party last year.
Can't help with specifics, since I'm in Suffolk.

Re: Birthday parties for a 7 year old???
Hi. My sonis turning 8 and we are doing a LEGOPolluza PArty at home. I have gotten so many good ideas form the internet. The party will start with a guess how many LEGOs are in the jar and htne the games will begin. I will do LEGO Bingo, Sticky habd LEGO grb, use the LEGOs you got with thte sticky hand to build a model from a card, all the boys will build a race car and race them. I will give out prizes for the games. The cake is an easy 2 layer 9x13 with iced ring dings (or ores) as the lego tops. I am so excited for this party!!!!!! FM me for more specifics and I will gladly help anyone!!!

Monster Mini Golf We had a magician come to the house one year. David Fun. He was ok. This year we are doing in a movie theater. I think we may do it at Elwood Cinema in Northport.

Re: Birthday parties for a 7 year old???
Hi Tia,
BounceU Farmingdale is a great way to celebrate Birthday's for kids of all ages. We have two gigantic inflatable rooms with giant slides, obstacle cources, bouncers, air hockey and a favorite of the older kids is our bouncy boxing ring. For 2011 we were voted "Best of Long Island' for Children's Parties. Our facility is very clean and our staff is second to none. We are just off route 110. Give us a call if you would like to hear more or come down for a tour. 631-777-5867 or check us out on the web www.bounceu.com/cities/farmingdale.ny.
I hope your son has a wonderful 7th Birthday!!
