sleeping thorugh the night
just curious when your twins/ multiples started sleeping through the night or at least longer than every three hours. My twins are 8 weeks and I am still breastfeeding. One wakes every 3 hours and the other every 4-5 hours. Someone told me that supplementing bottles with half BM and half formula will help. DOn't need them to sleep through the night this early but more than 3-4 hours would be so nice.

Re: sleeping thorugh the night
My LO's started sleeping through the night at 3 months. They were formula fed and I increased their night bottle to 5 oz. which helped them sleep better. It seems like forever but they will get there!!

Re: sleeping thorugh the night
10 months for me, but that was my fault. However, I would get them on the same schedule. If one i snot awake feed the woken one first, then try to feed the sleeping one. Then at least you are only up 1x every three hours.

Re: sleeping thorugh the night
DDs STTN from 6-11 weeks old (6:30pm-6:30am). Then out of no where they started waking after 4 hours.
At a little over 4 months we moved them to the crib. J started STTN where as K wakes up at 3am and then goes back to bed until 6:30. On rare occasions she doesn't wake at 3 but is up at 5:30 and won't go back to sleep.

Re: sleeping thorugh the night
My girls started sleeping through the night about 2-3 weeks ago. they are now 13 weeks. Ali will almost always sleep from 9 to about 5:30 wake up for a bottle and then go back to sleep till about 8:30-9 Jojo sleeps the same but sometimes ( like once a week) wakes up at like 3 but she wake up and wants to play. I ignore her as as long as she is just cooing and she usually falls back asleep till its time to eat at around 5:30.
It takes a while. I realized that they didnt really want it anyway since they only drank an ounce or two b4 falling back asleep. So it was up to me to stop giving it to them. it took a couple of nights. When they would wake up at 2 or 3 am I would give them the paci and they would go right back to sleep. That went on for a few nights and now they stopped waking up.
hang in there!!

Re: sleeping thorugh the night
I am jealous of all of you! My girls are 4 months (2 months adjusted) and they are not sleeping through the night. Abbie is probably going to start, she goes longer stretches but Sophia is def. not! I am back at work too so I am kind of losing my mind!!! I also feel like they aren't doing much of what they should be now but I keep telling myself they are preemie babies

Re: sleeping thorugh the night
My twins are exclusively breastfed and they started sleeping from 10-7 at 2.5 months. But when they woke up in the middle of the night, we would give them their pacifier first to try and stretch them out a little bit. I would also nurse them at the last feed, around 9 and also give them 2oz each of bm, because I feel like they are so sleepy during their last feed, and I want them to fill their bellies. Sometimes they still wake up in the middle of the night, but I try to give them their paci's rather than nursing them.
