how many times do you ask about Halloween costume?

DS#2 tells me he wants to be spiderman for halloween when I ask (he doesn't initiate it).

Spiderman is not something big in our house, so I'm not sure how he got this idea. Should I wait a little before ordering something?

I gave my oldest a catalog to look at. She circled the ones she liked the most. I told her that i was going to order online She kept changing her mind between 2 of them. I finally said to pick one and stick with it. Btw one of them was supergirl which was never mentioned in out house either... finally she went with a rag doll and so far has stuck with that choice..(she better of bc its ordered LOL)

DS wanted to be a character from Cars. When I showed him the costume on internet he didn't like it. Later he wanted to be a ghost. I gave him a catalog and he decided on captain america. We got it today and he is loving it so I'd suggest to look on internet or with a catalog. He might want another costume or fall in love with spiderman.

I am having this issue also!! DD wanted to be Rapunzel (Tangled) so I bought her a $30 costume. Then, MIL bought her a cute witch outfit and she wanted to be that. I was glad that I could return what I got and get my money back. BUT, now she wants to be Rapunzel again

IDK, she has changed her mind at least 5 times already! The latest is a skeleton or something not cute but scary.

I am not going to ask until well into october as we ended up with two costumes last year as one was bought in september and the other in october when she changed her mind!!! we will be last minute shoppers this year.

Ugh! Halloween Costumes!

We took a Disney Cruise in August and they have pirate night on the cruise. Emily saw a "Pirate Princess" costume in the gift shop, and wanted it so bad. We explained that if we were buying it for her, that was her Halloween Costume and she agree and was overjoyed, so we got it.

Well, now we are home and she wants to be something "scary" like a Mummy or something glamorous like a Prom Queen. I told her there is no way we are buying her another costume, and she told me that being a pirate princess is "Lame!"

Seriously it was so much easier when they were 1! We could dress them up in whatever we thought was cute and that was it!

We look online and he decides. I ask him at least 5 or 6x before I order or go to the store and buy it. I tell him once I get it that is IT and I mean it. If someone else gets him a different costume it's fine with me because we usually have at least 4 Halloween parties to go to every year so he can wear a different costume to the party and one on halloween.

As he's gotten older ( he will be 9 soon) he flip flops less and less.

My son has been a dinasour for the past 4 years... Here is hoping for the 5th one: his costume from last year still fits!

Funny...Alex is asking to be Batman. While we have tons of superheroes in my house from Kevin - Alex never plays superheroes anymore or chooses NOT to watch them so I am like...should I keep asking....when do I buy? I did take him to Party City the other day and he saw the wall of pictures of different costumes and he was in heaven!!!!! But left saying - I want to be Batman. Then over the weekend he started saying he wants to be Darth Vadar or Obi Wan Kenobi (which makes more sense since the boys are Star Wars Obssessed). I am going to give it another week and then kind of pick what I /Dh think he should/wants to be and see if I can change it.....
