Baby sleeps all day, cries all night - Before I throw myself out of a window..
One of my twins is trying to kill me
I will preface this by saying he is 7 weeks, but techincally he is 0 because my due date was October 8th.
El Diablo sleeps all day long, I usually have to wake him (every 3 hrs) to feed him. After the 9pm feeding (we tried doing it after midnight feeding too) we put him in the crib and WHAM its on. He screamssssss his head off for the next, oh 6,7 HOURS.
I have tried to keep him up longer during the day, it does NOT work.
I don't think its reflux or anything to do with his formula, because he is fine all day long.
I tried swaddling and not, doesn't seem to matter. Same goes for noise machine and mobile.
Marco, bless his heart, sleeps through this every night, thank God.
Any tips, advice? I love this little guy, but Ineed to sleep!

My DD was doing this at 5-6 weeks, I figured out that it was a really bad gas bubble, I did the themometer trick a few times and it fixed the issue, last night (now almost 8 weeks) she slept 10-3(I woke her up for MOTNF) then she slept again until 7. HTH Good luck. Also try to keep yourself as calm as possible DD wouldn't calm down for me because I would freak out that I couldn't fix her. GL

The same EXACT thing was happening with DS at 1-2 weeks old. He was sleeping and peaceful ALL day and then his 9:00-10:00 feeding would come and it was all over!! He would scream and scream for hours! I took him to the ped and discussed it with her and she said it sounded like the formula was building up in him all day and then at night he would scream from the pain of all of the build up! She switched his formula and I swear he is like a new baby! So much happier!!

Have you tried letting him sleep in swing or bouncer? Also start to have it noisey and bright during the day and dim and quiet at night. At that age, my kids slept most of the day and would sleep at night but woke every 2.5-3 hrs to eat.

I have tried swing, bouncy, playpen, rock n play, crib
I do keep it loud during the day and that is when he sleeps best? Maybe he got used to the noisy NICU and when I put him in a dark room he freaks b/c he is not use to it?
