to gym or not to gym?
So my doc told me I gained too much weight in a month (7 lbs). I told him the whole first tri I have been so exhausted. He basically told me to get on the ball. Well I'm laying on the couch and I'd rather undergo torture than get my booty to the gym!!
Does anyone have any pointers on getting the energy to just go? I'd normally be drinking a Red Bull or huge coffee, but obviously thats a no no ....

Re: to gym or not to gym?
once i got some energy back in the 2nd tri, which was hardly any at all!, i just did a lot of walking.id go for 30-50 minutes a few times a week. it actually seemed to make a bit of a difference! that was over the summer though when i wasn't working. now that im back to work (i teach in the city), i do prenatal yoga and walking on the weekends. thats about it- by the time i get home during the week im wiped!

Re: to gym or not to gym?
I change into my workout clothes at work so that I go straight to the gym. If I go home I know I am going to sit on the couch and once that happens it is all down hill from there.

Re: to gym or not to gym?
I am having a hard time being movitated myself! It is hard when you are exhausted so much!
One thing I tell myself is that I will only do 10 minutes. I can promise myself 10 minutes of my day. It won't exhaust me, it won't take time away from much else.
And usually 10 minutes turns into 30 minutes or 40 minutes. So it's a good thing.
