What was your next step?
Hi ladies, I'm not sure what my next step should be. I'm over a year TTC and on Clomid. This was my first month on it. AF is not due until tomorrow but I POAS tonight anyway...BFFN
I'd like to be more proactive since I will be turning 35 next month and don't have any time to waste. I guess seeing an RE would be the next step? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

i would definitely say to see an RE at this point. they do far more testing than ob's and you may have more options such as IUI's.
eta: sorry about the BFN......i know how much it totally sucks to see that white stick

Thank you! Even worse I took a digital test. Seeing those words "NOT PREGNANT" , it's like a punch in the gut. Which RE do you go to if you don't mind sharing?

uggghhh that's the worst! i've certainly done that a million times too i see dr. braverman. he's in woodbury and he's great, but he doesn't take insurance so you need to have out of network coverage to see him.

Re: What was your next step?
I am thinking about making the switch to an RE as well.
I am tired of going back and forth from my endocrinologist to my OBGYN and hoping that they agree on my levels or dosage and not even knowing for certain if it is my thyroid that causes me to not ovulate and/or miscarry... The idea of going to one doctor who can run lots of tests and monitor everything at once is very appealing.

Re: What was your next step?
I wouyld recommend seeing an RE. He/she will run more thorough exams and monitor you closely. This will help figure out your system and treat you according to your system, not what is in a textbook.
We tried for sometime on our own (a little over a year). Then moved on to Clomid with my OBGYN, not monitored, then moved to an RE. The first cycle with him we did Clomid/IUI, then continued increasing treatments and are now at the tail end of our first IVF cycle.
Good luck!

Re: What was your next step?
I think going to a RE is the best next step! I have GHI and did not have a problem finding a few REs that are in network. Maybe you can go on ur insurer's website to see who's in network then do ur research into the practice?
Good luck!

Re: What was your next step?
Call your insurance company. Make sure you know what your insurance covers before you have any testing done. Also, make sure Dh get tested as well. Good Luck
