Looking for new OB/GYN- should I go for experience or good reviews?
So after a horrendous experience with the birth of my daughter, I am looking for a new OB/GYN. Of course the practice that I want to use doesn't take our insurance. I found another practice that comes highly recommended but the 2 female doctors only have 5-7 years experience. I am not high-risk and had no complications with my first pregnancy. I will be having a C-section so I guess my question is....in your opinion, should the amount of experience be a determining factor is which doctor I choose? Any advice would be appreciated! TIA!

I do think. Amount of experience should be taken into consideration. But I think 5-7yrs of being in practice is fine! That's after 4yrs of residency, so a total of 9-11yrs. Plus, those newer in practice are usually more cautious, looking for the "zebras", and more up to date with the most current recommendations. Not saying that the more experienced don't do those things either though.
