Yay! Back from 1st appt!!!
Could barely see anything, but heartbeat showed up on the monitor at 115bpm!! Couldnt hear it though... Is that normal? It was hard for doc to measure... still so tiny so I dont have an estimate of exactly how far along I am... It actually took a long time to find (and of course I started to get worried), bc lo and behold, I have a tilted uterus... Gotta go back in 2 weeks... DH will be with me and hopefully we can see alot more by then... Fingers crossed!
But I have to say I am very pleased that I went with my gut and chose a diff doc... Dr Reavis is sooo nice and his staff is soo very friendly... A smaller setting is def so much more comfortable to me and its right down the block... Win!

Congratulations! That's great news.
Side note since I keep reading great things about Dr. Reavis...did you have a hard time getting an appointment? Was there a long wait time? I just realized just how close he is for me and I'm not loving my dr. right now.

Fantastic Appt!!! Yes it is normal to see the flutter and not hear the HB yet. I think I heard it for the 1st time at around 9 weeks.

So exciting!
I think most people don't "hear" the heartbeat until a few weeks later. It's just too small to find with a doppler until then. Everything sounds completely normal!! It's so exciting to see that little peanut on the screen.

Everyone's schedule is diff, but for the appt times I needed, I was going to have to wait about 2 weeks... I was able to bump it up a bit more when scheduling a morning appt... I was told if I wanted to see the NP, I could get a quicker appt... I liked the NP as well...
As for wait time, I was taken pretty quickly bc the office was empty in the morn... But even the dr told me that hes a talker and you cant shut him up so wait times can end up being long... but honestly, i'd rather that... at least I can leave feeling comfortable knowing all my questions are answered KWIM?
I gave him a try bc of the close proximity and then saw girls on here had liked him... glad i went

So happy it went well! I had the same experience. We saw the flutter of the heart beat and it was so low we could bearly hear it but the MD was able to calculate BPM and it was on target! Congrats!!!!!

Totally totally normal!!! 
I think at your next appt you should def bring DH to hear it, for I would imagine that you would be able to for sure..
