My Precious little Princess is finally here... Introducing, Paige Elizabeth
The moment I've been waiting for finally came last friday 7/29/11. After almost 5 years of my awesome boys, I finally have a daughter! It still feels so weird to say that!
I had a scheduled C Section for first thing fri morning. I had to be at the hospital at 545 am for a 730 surgery. Unfortunatly when I got there, another one of my drs patients who was scheduled for next week for a section had went into labor, so she had to be sectioned immediatly bc she was dialating fast (up to 9cm by the time they took her!) So I had to wait. I went into the OR at 925 and thats when I started to freak out. The only thing I was SO nervous for was the epidural. I was crying and couldnt relax and I couldnt stay still. It took THREE times and over 30 minutes to get it in the right place. My poor DH was freaking out bc it took so long so the nurses kept updating him. FINALLY it was in and I got nice and numb. I almost FELL! LOL... When they layed me back and were positioning me on the table I leaned a little too far to one side and started to tip off the VERY narrow operating table. The nurse and the (32 weeks pregnant!) anestesiologist caught me. The nurse was like "not on my watch!" It was actually kinda funny. Anyway everything from then went very smooth.. they had DH come in and surgery went great. When they pulled her out it was just amazing. To see that precious little face, my princess I never thought Id ever have, it was just amazing. I wasnt able to hold her right away, just a little kiss. She had a lot of fluid to be suctioned and she was little cold so she had to sit on th warming bed for a while, but they did bring her to me right after I went into my room about an hour or so later. One thing that did stink.. as my drs were closing me up they commented that it was prob best that this was my last one bc I have a TON of scar tissue, so much so that they thought some drs may have a hard time. I know this was our last one but it was hard to hear. Anyway, everything else was great and shes perfect, nursing awesome, finally sleeping good at night. So now may I introduce Paige Elizabeth Campbell. 7lbs 8 oz 20" long. Born 7/29/11 at 10:27am
