Nationality of the Karate instructor?
Ok, please don't flame me for saying this, but when looking into a karate instructor, do you think a "Chinese" one is better at it than say, "Uncle Bob"? I know it sounds terrible, but I would think one who actually comes from that country/background would more than know what they're doing and be awesome at teaching it. I want honest opinions. I just don't know if there would be a difference or what would make one better than the other? From what I'm reading online from places around by me, the "Chinese" instructors have sooo much more experience?   Does it really matter?

I don't think it matters anymore - outside of the Karate Kid, that is.
I think many nationalities have been trained in martial arts.

We have a jewish instructor and a chinese one in our neighborhood.. both very good but the chinese one gets more clients..

Karate is a Japanese martial art, so I would be surprised if a Chinese person was any better than anyone else. However, I would say that nationality matters significantly less than quantity and quality of training.

Thank you so much! And I'm sorry, you're right... Japanese! 
Can anyone tell me what kind of experience to look for? There are so many things as far as experience to consider? I don't know what any of the karate "lingo" means? Like Dan, etc. This can get confusing or I'm just making it more confusing than it needs to be? 
It's just an expensive expense so I just want to be sure we pick a good one.

I would ask around to other parents.
I don't think it's a decision you need to totally stress about - he is a kid, you're not training him for war. If he decides this is something he really wants to pursue into his adult hood and for the long-term, then maybe stress about it.

Every style and school is slightly different. Tiger Schulmann's has no "Dans". Sensei (head instructor) Joshu and Deshi (instructors), and Sempais (black belts)
I agree with AP about asking parents that use that school.
