D & C tomorrow

Today I go in for a consult and tomorrow is my D & C. I am so scared and just want to put this whole thing behind me.

I would have been 9 wks. yesterday

After your D & C how long did u wait to try again?

my Dr told me 3 cycles... it ended up being 4 because of UTI during O time...

i was scared too but its nothing to be scared about... before you know it you;ll be waking up in recovery...

I was also scared but it wasn't bad at all physically. The mental/emotional part is the hard part.

I saw two doctors at the time - one said one cycle, the other said "three months" - so I waited two cycles which was almost three months, but it looks like I'm not ovulating (again) anyway.

Sorry for your loss. Hope you feel better soon. This board is awesome & VERY supportive, helped me tons.
I had my D&C 3 wks ago tomrrow and it was hard but time, friends, family and this board has helped me so much.
My Dr said to wait 2 months before we try again.

I'm so very sorry. My doctor said to wait one or two cycle after d&c but I didn't think I'd want to try again that soon so wasnt really thinking about it. I was wrong. Many hugs nothing to be afraid of physically. Feel better. May tomorrow be over soon.

i was terrified but like u I wanted it over. I had done at stonybrook hospitals ambulatory and everyone there was Super sweet. They had me calmed down. Was put to sleep and over before I knew it. Had done on Tuesday, haven't had any problems. No pain, still bleeding but nothing major. Slowed down to.practically nothing yesterday but today little heavier but not bad. Took week off from work.just to get myself mentally back in check. I go back for post check on 19th bc doc on vacation. Will discuss when TTC will be ok. But thinking i might wait til after new year.

i'm so sorry for your loss
i had my d&c the beginning of august; my doctor told me to wait for a normal period and then i could try again. it took about 5 1/2 weeks for me to get a period, and so we just started to TTC again. it's going to depend on your doctor's advice and to how YOU feel.
i'm so sorry you are going through this, i remember vividly the agony i felt emotionally. you will always feel a sense of loss, but with time it will get easier to accept and live with. best of luck to you

I'm so sorry!!

My OB had me wait 3 cycles after my D&C. When I later m/c naturally, I had to wait 2 cycles.

I am so sorry lots and lots of hugs for you for tomorrow. I had my D&C in may and we have not TTC yet as I have some other stuff going on and to be honest I am not 100% sure we are going to. Medically I think most doctors will say to resume TTC after one or two cycles.

I remember for my d&e (I was 17wks) I was told to wait 8 weeks....... After my d&c, I waited about 4wks, then was able to start the pill for the fresh IVF cycle. So, technically it was 8wks for that too before I was able to start stims, but at least I was able to start the pill during that 'waiting' period.

Thank you all for the responses. The D and C went as well as expected. Everyone at Good Sam was wonderful, and physically I am OK. Its just the mental healing that I am going through now
