Helicopter Down off 34th St Heliport
I'm watching this on CBS now, I hope everyone is OK. There are different reports, 4 people on board, maybe more. 2 people are in serious condition 
ETA: there was a 5th person onboard

Dh just called to ask what was going on in the city. Hes at the UN and what was wondering why there was sooo much police activity.
I hope they get everyone out, they say there are still some trapped

lot of police boats already there and the high speed ferry from LIC has stopped in the water.
I can see a little bit from my office.

They've pulled 4 people out, the 5th is still not found. At this point it's been down about 30 minutes so I'm thinking the 5th is no longer alive.

This is so sad, I dont think that 5th person will be found alive. The helicopter sunk very quickly.

I am watching the coverage now. They said NYPD and FDNY were there within minutes and have done an amazing job!

I could see something was going on from the train as I crossed the river. Thats great that they were able to rescue 4 people. Sad that someone died

I saw the helicopter yesterday. they were driving it up Atlantic Ave last night in a police motorcade. it drove right past us. it looks so small to me, and oddly, in decent condition.
not at all like something that just took someone's life.
