C25K ppl
Just curious, what speed you "jog" at. Im starting week 3 tomorrow and am curious what everyone's jog looks like. I started it at 4.5. So I walked 3.5 for 90 seconds, jogged at 4.5 (yesterday I was at 4.7) but I feel like its super slow since I get to less than 2 miles when Im done. TIA!!

Re: C25K ppl
I used that speed when I did c25K over the summer. This speed helped me run longer and with minimal to no injuries.

Re: C25K ppl
I used to run at like 4.8 ish myself but when I upped the speed to 5.0-5.2 it actually seemed easier to keep that pace. It felt like it was harder to go slower if that makes any sense at all.

It does make perfect sense! 4.5 is an awkward fast walk slow jog!

Re: C25K ppl
on the treadmill, I tried to run faster (5.5-6), because I didn't know better and didn't want to be too slow, but I couldn't keep that up after the first 2 weeks, and I was getting hip pain. when I started running outside, my natural jog was a 4.8 (I time myself and track the distance on mapmyrun.com to figure out my pace), so I would say try a little bit faster to see if it feels better to you, but definitely don't go too much faster - otherwise you might get injured!
