hello there...

i recently had a miscarriage last week at 12weeks. I have a healthy 3 &1/2 yr old DS and i am very grateful for him. I had to have a D&C and ever since the D&C i have had some soreness/tenderness around my rib cage and was wondering if any of you ladies are experiencing this or know anything about this. prior to the D&C i have never felt this before.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I did not experience that type of pain after my D&C, but I did have random soreness in my arm which I later realized was probably from them lifting me off the table and back onto the bed when it was over - I bruise very easily.

After my d&c I took one dose of the antibiotic and motrin that I was prescribed. I am not sure if I had a reaction to the meds or my body just reacted from he whole loss , but I was having very weird pains throughout my upper stomach, it almost felt like my stomach was doing flips. It also felt like major gas pains but there was never any gas to come out..lol. This lasted a few days. It was pain like I never had before. I think it's normal what you are experiencing, but if it gets worse then I would give your doc a call. good luck to you !!!

So sorry for your loss and hope you feel better real soon. I did not have pain in rib area but did have what felt like a gas bubble in my side (stomach) after I ate & was constipated.Lasted about a week and a half.

My pain is lower, by my lower abdomen so I cant really help you, just wanted to say Im sorry for your loss

My heart goes out to you and your loss. I have no advice bc I had a natural mc but here are some that your body heals and this is just normal aches and pains...

thanks ladies... i still cant believe that this happened to me.. i never thought in a million years that i/we would be in this situation, considering that I had a healthy pregnancy with DS. i really hope that this never ever happens again..the emotional pain is too much to bear.

as for the rib cage soreness.. i have my post-op appt next tues.. and will be looking into it. and i still have spotting here & there.. i was hoping that i would only bleed for a week & be done. everytime i see the spotting..it's a constant reminder. all the best ladies
