Mylicon vs Little Tummies Gripe Water
Hello!
My has been very gassy and we are trying to figure out what will help make him more comfortable. We have been using a generic version of Mylicon, but inconsistently. I picked up Gripe Water a few days ago but have only used it once.
I read online yesterday that Mylicon only works if it's given while the gas is still in the belly. I wasn't aware of this, and have since started giving it to him while he is eating instead of waiting until he is in pain. It seems to be helping.
I also read that Gripe Water is not approved by the FDA and that the baking soda in it can be dangerous for babies...
I guess I'm just looking for anyone's input who has used both and any info that you may be able to share that would help make the baby more comfy. TIA!

Re: Mylicon vs Little Tummies Gripe Water
My DS was sooo gassy/colickly for the first 3-4 months. We tried Mylicon and Little Tummies but they really didn't relieve him. Colic Calm was the only thing that would make him feel better instantly! I'd definitely give it a try! He would calm down the second that he swallowed it. The liquid is black, so don't be alarmed LOL.
