Re: Bringing in items for classmates (halloween)
I discourage it in my class and my kids' school doesn't allow it at all.
When 23 kids each bring in a goodie bag or treat for every child it becomes overwhelming and unmanageable for the kids and distracts them from teaching time.

Re: Bringing in items for classmates (halloween)
No. Our school has a morning Halloween parade and a short classroom craft party, no food. Nice and simple!!

Re: Bringing in items for classmates (halloween)
Our school has a STRICT "no goody bags or presents" policy.
The class moms will plan a party and will let the other parents know what they need donated.

Re: Bringing in items for classmates (halloween)
I don't. After a while you will hate every knick knack your kid gets AND the last thing they need is more candy.
