when you run...
do your shoulders/back ever get tight during your run?
this has happened to me a few times and really hurts me during my runs. i usually have to slow down or stop after 2 miles to stretch it out. has this happened to anybody else?

Re: when you run...
I get really tight after a run. My back and shoulders are notoriously tight though, so I just try to stay active after the run and then take a hot shower.

Try to remember to relax your shoulders...every so often roll your shoulders and shake out your arms (if you run with music, do it after each song). I used to clench my fists. It took a while to break the habit. I still have to check on my hands...just much less often.

This happens to me too, but I've always been this way with everything. Good idea to stretch & shake it out every so often.

Yes, i was just talking about this with a friend! I tense up my shoulders and neck. When I was training for the half last year, it got so bad that I had a stiff neck for a couple of days so I started making it a habit to shake out my arms every couple of minutes.
