Does anyone LOVE their baby monitor?
We are doing a small registry for baby #2 since it has been 6.5 years since DD#1, and one of the things that we want to get new for the new baby is a baby monitor. The one we have (and still use  ) for DD6 is very staticky.
So...if anyone can recommend a regular monitor that they love.
Or a video monitor that they love.
Why do you love it?
What was the cost like ? (we will be most likely buying everything from the registry ourselves)
Anything you don't like about it?

Summer infant video monitor. It is by far the best gift I recieved. I love being able to see DS. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and want to check on DS. This makes it so I don't have to get out of bed and possibly wake up DS. It is also great now that DS is starting to try to climb out of the crib, when he should be going to sleep. This makes it so I can watch him to make sure he is safe, while I don't give in and go get him.
I could go on and on!!

We have the Philips Avent Monitor and love it. It plays lullabies, has a night light and always stays in range.
We had the Summer Infant one when DS was born and it stopped working after a month of using it. I returned it and bought another one and we were always losing the signal.
I returned that one after 3 weeks and got the Avent.

Me, too! It's pricey ($270 or so), but use a 20% coupon and it's a little better.
I LOVE being able to see my boy (although, sometimes it's heart breaking, too, when I just see him sleeping so peacefully all by himself.  I have to have my DH look at it to check on him. lol).
Also, I hear that because it's digital, no one outside the home can pick up the signal. Something like that...

Same here though we've only been using it for a week now. We have an extra camera for it so we can see both boys using the same handset. I didn't find other monitors with a second camera option.

LOVE our Sony Baby Call 900mhz. It cost $39.99 we have a small house and we use it for when we are downstairs or outside. I LOVE LOVE LOVE It!!! Our dog, at the time, ate through the 1st one and we tried a cheaper model..FAIL. We just bought the 2nd one for the baby on the way. Sooooooooooo worth the money. I never wanted a video one because I will "see things". Think paranormal activity I just couldn't put myself in that situation

I completely agree! I've been using this monitor to just about 2 years without a single issue! We will be buying another for this baby. And you cannot beat the price! Especially if you use a 20% off coupon.

I don't have it yet, but plan on getting it when #2 arrives  it has a ton of features that my Summer Infant monitor does not have.... most important is the wireless, 2way, plays lullabies, reads temperature in the room

We used to have the Summer Infant Best View, which we loved!! It has the pan and zoom feature, which is awesome, great picture quality, and it can connect to up to 4 different cameras.
Now, we have the Summer Infant Baby Touch and LOVE it as well. Same features at the Best View, but it is all touch screen. Additionally, it has a "talk back" feature- a button you can hold down on the monitor to talk to your child through it, like a walkie talkie. LOVE this feature!
