Anyone dressing up for Halloween - Maternity themed...
My kids have their costumes..but my DH adn I never really do anything.but this year my DH is dressing up to coordinate with the kids..Im a lil jealous!
I want to dress up..nothing big but something
I need some original pregnancy theme ideas...
I don't want to paint and expose my belly (that is mostly what I see when I google ideas)
All I have found so far is "bun in the oven " and a shirt that has a baby skeleton on your stomach...
looking for other ideas...that WONT break the bank!!

Re: Anyone dressing up for Halloween - Maternity themed...
2 years ago, when I was pregnant with my son, I was a sunny side up egg. I made the costume myself, so it was super cheap! I cut 2 pieces of egg-shaped white felt (think amoeba lol) and sewed them together, leaving holes for my head and arms, and I left the bottom open, where my legs would be. Then I put it on and drew a circle around where my belly was and cut it out. I wore a yellow shirt underneath so my belly stuck out for the yolk. After I had it all on, I safety-pinned the perimeter of the belly hole to the shirt all around my belly so it would stay in place.

That's awesome! I wish I was further along!
There's always the pregnant nun. You can always find/put together an inexpensive nun costume.

every website i went on, has only 5 maternity costumes and i hated them all. Although i hate dressing up period.
I'm borrowing a friends hospital scrubs and stethoscope (sp?). Something easy and comfortable.

That is perfect... I may steal this idea.. Not sure if i'm going to need a costume this year for anything yet but that seems cheap and easy.. Thanks for the idea. I will definately give you the credit..

Haha it was definitely cheap, very easy, and super comfortable! My sister was the one who thought of the idea actually- so I can't take the credit! But definitely go for it! It was a fun costume and got a lot of great reactions!
