Mac users - which one?
Mac users - which one do you have?
I am buying one soon , primarily for photo / video editing of my kids... Which one do you recommend?
Would a MacBook pro's screen be too small for Photoshop? 13"? 15"?
I'm probably going to get an iPad after Christmas so not too concerned about the portability feature......
Thanks so much!!

I have the 13" Pro and I love the size! However, if portability isn't an issue for you, I'd spring for the bigger screen!

I also have the 13" MacBookPro. I love my computer. I always had Dells in the past for work and I will never look back.

Re: Mac users - which one?
If your not looking for something that is portable why not get an iMac instead of the laptop. The basic models runs about the same price as the mac book, and you would have a 21.5" screen as opposed to the 13! I believe (don't quote me on this I haven't looked recently) it also has more space. Both my husband and I are graphic artists so we have 2 iMacs and a macbook, and we rarely use the macbook unless it is during travel. I even move my iMac to the living room by the TV if there is something i want to watch but need to work as well rather then break out the macbook...its VERY easy to move since its only a screen.
Just a thought!

Re: Mac users - which one?
I have the 17" & I hook it up to an external monitor (big one) & keyboard most of the time to work (when i do Graphic Design stuff) That's another option if you want to go with a smaller screen for portability...but have a larger screen for editing.

Thank you everyone for your responses! This is a good option that I hadn't considered before!! Now I just will need to compare the specs of the iMac vs MacBook pro...
Thanks again!!

Re: Mac users - which one?
I have a 17" macbook pro that i use for graphic design/photo editing. I used to have a tower for when I did video editing and high end work but that I sold after I stopped doing that type of work.
If you really need more power but can't afford the size and power combo just hook it up to a secondary monitor (as mentioned.) I am trying to only edit photos with a double monitor now because with calibration devices its still off on the laptop vs large cinema display or generic monitor. If your doing video your going to need double screens anyway its just best to do it that way.
