Another J and J ?
How long have they been putting these chemicals in the product...is this a new thing? I have been using the head to toe wash on my son for three years!

Re: Another J and J ?
It's part of their manufacturing that releases this chemicals. So as long as they have been producing the products the same way. I was just reading an article from 2009 where Chinese moms where angry about finding these same chemicals in J&J products sold there.

Re: Another J and J ?
I don't know how long it's been there but from the text below, it looks like it's probably been there for years...
"Campaign for Safe Cosmetics has unsuccessfully been urging the world's largest health care company for 2 1/2 years to remove the trace amounts of potentially cancer-causing chemicals — dioxane and a substance called quaternium-15 that releases formaldehyde — from Johnson's Baby Shampoo, one of its signature products..."
My ped. said not to use J&J products when I asked for a shampoo/body wash recommendation and I'm glad I stopped when DS was 6 mos. Even Aveeno isn't so safe.
I will not trust J&J products again.

Re: Another J and J ?
I returned a bunch of J&J products to BBB today and told them the reason. The supervisor responded that J&J has been using the same formula for years, as if to say there's nothing to worry about. I replied, "Yeah - and look at the cancer rate." He nodded, as if to say "true...".
