For those of you that don't tell

What is your reason for not saying that you are TTC. Just wondering, now that its been a while and people are asking more and more I am wondering if we should just tell the truth, not really sure why we are keeping it a secret.

I'm the same way.......I've told a few people.....I just don't want people knowing in case we do have a hard time and then everyone is going to be all in our business!

now people know w/ all my issues, but in the beginning i didn't in fear of the fact that i can't get pregnant (which did happen)

We want to keep it private bc I knew going into this it was going to be a very long journey due to the PCOS. Plus, others think it isn't a good time to try bc we rent, and don't own a home yet. It's just easier for us to keep things to ourselves and not have to hear it from the peanut gallery

Editing my original response b/c I miss read the question. We're not telling people because I didn't want any pressure from people AND i didn't want to hear the are you sure, wait longer comments. But i also thought that for now it should really just be between DH &I at least for the beginning of this journey. If we run into any problems then I'm sure we'll end up turning to family and friends for support. Granted i'm sure people won't be THAT surprised if we got pregnant because i've never hidden my desire to be a Mom.

i am so close to telling people that we are having trouble just to shut them up... i get the question all the time "when are you having a baby?"... its so annoying! but, for now, I just say "eventually"

if you think that they are asking a lot of questions now, just wait till they find out you are ttc. the questions just get more detailed to your cycle

we did not at first just bc we felt it was nobody's business but after 2 years,mc's,a doc appt all the time people r not stupid

well most of my close friends know about my m/c so they always keep asking me if im ttc again. I tell them no, or I tell them soon. I just don't want peole knowing because once they know it's like they are just waiting for me to get pregnant. I dont want to have them knowing how long it takes me to get pg and I dont want them to keep asking me hows is going. Ultimately I also want to surprise everyone when Im pg again.

my friends tell me that i shouldn't tell people that i'm TTC because it will put the pressure on me. but i can't help it. i have a hard time lying and i'm just so excited that i'm TTC!!!

I just think for us its more private and I really dont want people to know our business...the journey may be long so I would rather not be asked any questions....I think its totally a personal choice though

a few people know that we're TTC. our parents just know that we've been seeing a doc for my irregular cycles and trying to figure out why im irregular.

i dont want to come out and tell them that we're full force TTC bc i want it to be a surprise for them atleast. i feel like the element of surprise has been taken away from me and DH bc of doctors, meds, timed BD etc..

WHAT!!!!! Oh no!

I feel like if I just say it.....and generally that it has been a little harder than we thought that people will stop saying things that hurt.

We aren't telling people because we don't want to deal with their opinions and judgments. We aren't in the most ideal situation financially and everyone in our families would like us to be more secure before a kiddo. So we keep it to ourselves.

I think at this point everyone knows we are trying and for the most part, everyone has respected our privacy. When we are asked from the few and far between, we just say we are working on it.
