Not sure what Super Soccer Stars is, but our soccer program is $140 for 8 weeks, 40 minute sessions, 1 time per week.

it's at least $400 for 10 weeks, but most places are closer to, if not OVER $500.

DS takes Happy Feet at daycare. It's $150 for eight - 1/2 session. The only good thing I can say is he can dribble a soccer ball pretty darn well.

Pro soccer kids.. 8 week class for about an hour is $165 once a week

I don't know how good this program is but some moms in my neighborhood have good things to say.
$180 for 8 classes, 45 minutes each.

I don't know where you are in the city, but my girlfriend sends her son through one of the Catholic schools and it is $130/September-November AND April-June.
It includes uniform
They did have to buy a ball and cleats but it was $30 total so the TOTAL cost was $160.

We live in Brooklyn too, and have been doing Super Soccer Stars for a couple of seasons -it really is a great program. I'd say look around at the locations, we def did not pay 400 for our 10 week session (we've been taking ours at the co-op school in Clinton Hill). I just did a quick search on their site and it seems like the class price varies by location -there's a winter session at Berkley Carroll school for 275. Still $$, but less than 400!!

right, but the BC session is even shorter than the rest.
I live in the Park Slope area...downtown brooklyn.
my cousins used to play out in Marine Park, I am sure that is cheaper too.
the clinton hill one is just under $400 but I think they are only taking current people now.
we may end up taking him to Chelsea Piers. it's $495 BUT they get access to the kids zone all day on the day of their game. that's a little something extra at least.

What about checking out a class at the Y? I know they are about $165 for non members for an 8 week class.

I just found out today, this place is probably as far as Long Island for you, but its in Brooklyn
They have a whole bunch of programs for all ages. Soccer is one of them.
