What's a pelvic endovaginal sonogram?
I'm heading for that tomorrow.... I've changed OBGYNs since the m/c, and I'm assuming my new doc wants to make sure that everything is right in the 'birthing area'...?
Anyone know of this sonogram?
PS: I'm gonna feel REAL dumb if one of you describe it as something I've had done already lol

Re: What's a pelvic endovaginal sonogram?
The description in that post sounds exactly like a pregnancy ultrasound. Thx!

Re: What's a pelvic endovaginal sonogram?
Actually when I was pg and had an internal sono, I didn't need to drink water, and the wand was larger. In the pg sono they are trying to see the embryonic sac or the uterus, and in the sono she is talking about, it would seem they are looking for fibroids or "abnormalities". This is my take on it anyway..

I'm supposed to drink water 1hr before the sonogram, and keep my tummy full.

They can see your follicules, depending where you are in your cycle, they check for cysts....etc. RE's do vaginal sonograms on day 3 of your cycle and if you are going for IUI, they monitor your follicule size with sonograms.
