LOOKING FOR A BULLDOG PUP
My DH and I have been looking for a Bulldog. Right now we have a small dog and we have been told Bulldogs are good with children. After calling some breeders we learned that Bulldog pups on an average are selling for $2,500. We have also considered adopting one from a shelter but we have no luck with finding a pup.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Try these guys...sometimes an older dog is better, you don't have to housebreak them. We did this with Misty.

Def look into a rescue or adopting a young adult.
here is one in Pa.
This is a four month old pure bulldog. THey have six week old bulldog mixes that are really cute too.

They are definatley expensive, and if you end up getting one cheap, there can be lots of health problems with it . I think it's a great idea to get a rescue dog, but you dont want to get one that's too old. They have a short life span  . If you help save a young bulldog, he (or she) will be your best friend forever.
They are the greatest dogs ever. You will know what I mean if you do get one.
ETA: I went to the above link. Make sure it's an English Bulldog. American Bulldogs get very big and and are complete opposite of an English Bulldog (although still very loveable, my bf has one).

This girl looks adorable. They originally listed her as an american bulldog..silly, I am glad they fixed it!

I highly recommend an American Bulldog and also agree with the Bulldog Rescue. Good Luck

I am almost in tears reading some of the stories of the homeless dogs. They are all so sweet, I would love to adopt them all.
