They do this all the time. If there is a deal like the buzz operation unfortunately your only real option is to go brave the crowds. Their fine print even says that if they don't have it in stock they can cancel the order. They did it to me over another order once.

They did the same thing to me with a sleepover set that was a promotional item, supposed to be free when purchasing other things and now got cancelled

Yes, it happened to me too. I placed an order for store pick-up on Sunday 10am (2 Buckaroo games) and that the 2 Buzz Operation were going to be mailed to me. I received a confirmation of my order and about two hours later received another email stating my order was ready for pick-up. I couldn't make it so I didn't get it. At almost 1am, Monday I got an email saying my order was cancelled. A few days later they charged me again for the 2 Buckaroo games that I am not picking up. I wont shop there again.
