So who is going to help keep me sane for the next 8 days?

My transfer was this morning earllllly .... and between having 3hrs of sleep beforehand and then taking the required valium before the transfer, I was sleeping most of the day....

When I first arrived at the transfer, I noticed there were some other couples in the waiting room who were waiting to be taken in for their retrievals. For one in particular, it was very obvious it was their first time. I couldn't help but feel envious of the hope they so obviously had. I felt like I've already walked on the dark side of all this that I was stripped of my innocence and my dependence on IVF as the "miracle" treatment.

By the time my dh finished parking the car and came up to meet me, I was already crying. I don't know what's gotten into me lately.. I am NOT a crier. Especially in public places!! Anyway I told my dh that I just don't have the hope we once had and the idea of that was just sickening... I told him I just can't take the anticipation and the letdown and I just want us to have our happy ending with all this. I don't even remember right now what it was that my dh said at the time.. but it helped... and I somehow was able to make my way into the procedure room.

When I saw my embies on the screen, it was like nothing else mattered. I felt like I had a wave of hope seeing those little guys (yes, guys. I''m convinced there are twin boys implanting right now.) The RE there and the embryologist reassured me that the embryo quality is more important than the lining. They said embryos can attach themselves to anything and they don't need a perfect lining- and even reminded me that's how ectopics happen! Babies implant themselves on tubes even! (and spleens )


Anyway... my embryos are perfect grade a... survived the thaw very well....... and now we wait. I did the whole before transfer thing... I have my fridge stocked with pineapple... I went to acupuncture today... I'm doing everything I can think of.

A part of me feels like the next 8 days are going to fly, but then I realized it's still Thursday night. It hasn't even been 24hrs yet since my transfer My plan is to not test this time. We'll see.... Beta is Friday. Ahhhh here we go...........

Why do you have to BD before the xfer?

It can help with implantation.

Actually, I know of someone who did a natural FET and transferred one embryo. Well.. she had twins because she conceived with the egg that she ovulated AND the embryo from the FET! Now why can't stuff like that ever happen to me?

I saw you said you got pineapple. You probably know this already, but I've heard drinking grape juice is good for implantation too
