Thyroiditis

Has anyone ever had this? My PCP said she thinks I have this but she wants me to go see my endo. I have an appointment on Tuesday but I am in so much pain.

Is it due to nodules or cysts?

My thyroid is enlarged and I have a few cysts found by an ultrasound. One was solid and they did a fine need aspiration. From what I learned, it is fairly common to have cysts/nodules in your thyroid, esp as you get older.

If you need an Endo, I went to Dr. Cella in Smithtown, she was wonderful and I didn't have to wait 6 months to get an appt either.

yeah, been through it all - sonograms, biopsies, surgery, hell and back.

Ended up with half my thyroid out.
