why does this only happen to me?
Im getting rashes again, this time from the Ganirelix. Last time, they were from Lovenox.
I'm sure it happens to others, but from what I've googled its rare. I don't freaking understand!

i have no idea why this is happening to you!
could u be allergic to the actual needle rather than the meds?
maybe next time u have to do one and u have a dr appt do it at the office and show them how u r doing it? maybe they can help?

Re: why does this only happen to me?
thanks ladies. im looking forward to starting the lovenox next week, that's when the real fun begins. honestly, i wouldnt mind the rashes if i could get and stay pregnant, but i dont really know how hopeful im feeling this month yet.
heather and bookworm, do you get the irritation as soon as you inject it? does it fade away or does it stay for a few days? is it itchy? are you using anything? thanks

Re: why does this only happen to me?
My left arm is covered in bumps. I get this way when they take my blood also but thought it was The bandages that caused the rash. Guess not since my arm is now covered in bumps that itch I don't know how soon they appear but they last at least a week but getting injected everyday they don't go away. Today I thought it might be the alcohol swab but have. NO idea. Once I get pregnant again I will be on lovenox and think the same will happen then. Will be worth it if can stay prego

Re: why does this only happen to me?
i went thru the same thing- i thought it was the alcohol, the bandaids, etc. but it wasnt. then i just thought it was the lovenox but now its the ganirelix. i just dont get it!
when i stopped the lovenox, it went away after about 2 weeks (the rashes were huge and bad).

Re: why does this only happen to me?
So sorry! I don't know if your rash is at an injection site, but after several changes of medication throught my cycle, I finally determined that the rash I got each time must be from the medrol. I'd get it all over my chest and they thought it was everything from the progesterone oil, to a latex allergy, to estrace. Now I'm on prednisone instead of medrol, just waiting for my beta, and I've been rash free. Don't know why I'd have a reaction to one steroid and not another, but my Dr's office said it might be the filler ingredients. Hope you feel better soon and can pinpoint the exact cause.

The injection site would get red, swollen, and itchy for maybe 5-6 hours after. I ignored it and it eventually went away.
You're probably just sensitive to the more irritating meds. Sorry, I wish I had a solution for you.

I had a lot of irritation from the Ganirelix. It was welts, but even after the swelling went down, the spots were red and itchy for days. I didn't use anything on it. I think I just have sensitive skin. Maybe you do too? Good luck this cycle
